The Protection System for Asylum Seekers and Refugees (SPRAR) is made up of the network of local authorities that have access, within the limits of available resources, to the National Fund for Asylum Policies and Services for the realization of migrants inclusion projects.
At local level, with the precious support of the third sector, local authorities guarantee “integrated reception” interventions that go beyond the distribution of food and accommodation, providing also complementary measures for information, accompaniment, assistance and orientation, through the construction of individual paths for socio-economic integration.
Arci Lecce operates in the field of inclusion with passion and professionalism for over 15 years.
Currently manages 15 S.P.R.A.R. projects:
The Sprar managed by Arci Lecce are aimed at ordinary and vulnerable beneficiaries (unaccompanied minors, single-parent families) and provide for the reception of individuals and / or families in apartments and the development of activities to promote their integration in the area.
The services offered are: health care, social care, multicultural activities, school insertion of minors, linguistic and intercultural mediation, legal support, training services, services for finding accommodation, work placement support.
In the SPRAR the staff members play an important role: he/she supports the beneficiary to solve everyday issues and becomes a “bridge” for the knowledge of the territory. To guarantee the full responsibility of the person and to allow the migrant to express himself autonomously, the Sprar focuses on the making and strengthening of territorial networks.
Initiatives are promoted to inform and sensitize the city communities to the knowledge of the reality of the right to ask for asylum and the condition of applicants and holders of international protection.
